Solkwitz is a municipality in the administrative community of Oppurg in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia .
geography
Solkwitz is located southeast of Pößneck and Nimritz in a hilly terrain of the slate mountain range in the transition to the Orlasenke . Nearby is located the conservation area Döbritzer Switzerland with its prehistoric caves. The federal road 281 is reached via the local connection road to Nimritz, which makes the surrounding area accessible.
