history
The Kalte Schenke was built in 1836 by the grandfather of the owner in the 1930s, the farmer Reichmann from Dobian. It was used to collect the so-called road money for the wagons that drove Eisenstein from Kamsdorf to the Ludwigshütte near Ziegenrück along the Hohe Strasse. This continued until the 1870s. The name "Kalte Schenke" was taken over from a settlement 300 m to the west, in the direction of Bucha, which is said to have been destroyed in the Count's War. Other sources report the destruction in the Thirty Years' War. The “Kalte Schenke” inn is still owned by the Reichmann family today.
