Tausa is a hamlet-like district of Schöndorf in the Saale-Orla district in Thuringia . In 2009, 60 people lived in Tausa.
location
Like Külmla, Tausa is located in the same trough-like high plateau of the Southeast Thuringian Slate Mountains and is a little further to the east on federal road 2550.
history
The first documentary mention of the village took place in 1378. In the Middle Ages, the von Obernitz families were wealthy here. The farmers of the place have always shaped the place due to the favorable climatic and geological conditions of the Schleizer Oberland.
The place belonged to the Electoral Saxon Office Ziegenrück until 1815 and after its assignment, decided at the Congress of Vienna , came with the majority of the Neustädter Kreis to the Grand Duchy of Saxony-Weimar-Eisenach .
On January 1, 1979, the three places Schöndorf, Tausa and Külmla were merged to form the political municipality of Schöndorf.
