Hertlingshausen is a district of the municipality of Carlsberg in the Rhineland-Palatinate district of Bad Dürkheim .

Geographical location

The district is about 300  m above sea level. NHN in the north-eastern Palatinate Forest . It is traversed by the Eckbach , which rises in the western part of Little France . Since the community Carlsberg forms a scattered settlement , a spatial separation between the core town Carlsberg and Hertlingshausen is not possible.

history

The nucleus of the place was the Augustinian convent Hertlingshausen , founded around 1160 , a branch of the monastery Höningen . The first documentary mention took place in 1212 as Hartingshausen . When the monastery was closed in 1521 after the Reformation , the place already existed as a village, as a parish was established instead of the monastery.

As part of the Rhineland-Palatinate administrative reform in 1969, Hertlingshausen was incorporated into Carlsberg and at the same time moved to the newly created Bad Dürkheim district . The previous coat of arms of Hertlingshausen became the new coat of arms of the municipality of Carlsberg.
