Hervé de pits
Hervé Baron de Gruben (born June 1, 1894 in Booischot , † November 20, 1967 in Brussels ) was a Belgian diplomat .
Career
Baron de Gruben studied law and received his doctorate from the University of Leuven . From 1923 he was the deputy private secretary of Edouard Rolin-Jaequemyns, the Belgian high commissioner in the Rhineland . In 1925 he joined the Foreign Service. From 1927 to 1934 he was attaché in the Belgian legation in Berlin and from 1930 to 1934 also chargé d' affaires in Budapest . From 1937 to 1945 he was Counselor at the Belgian Embassy in Washington, DC After the end of World War II he was Head of Department in the Belgian Foreign Ministry and Head of the Belgian Delegation at the Conference for the Organization of a European Defense Community. From 1953 to 1959 he was Royal Belgian Ambassador in Bonn .
