The Heubach rises as a mill stream on the eastern slope of the Eggegebirge west of Sandebeck and flows in a north-east direction along the Vinsebeck forest. West of Vinsebeck, the Heubach receives the Silberbach , its largest tributary. From this point on the body of water is called Heubach.
