Vegetative characteristics

Hieracium morii is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 10 to 35 centimeters. The upright stems are simple or branched. They have a thick hair at the base, which loosens towards the tip.

At the base of the stem there are several basal stalked leaves , while there are 8 to 15 leaves on the stem. The petiole is winged. The leaf blade is spatulate with a length of 5 to 13 centimeters and a width of 1 to 2 centimeters with a narrow and tapering blade base and blunt or finely spiked blade tip. The edges of the spread are sawn. Both the underside and the upper side of the leaf are covered with fine hairs.

Generative characteristics

The traubige total inflorescence contains 1 to 16 basket-shaped part inflorescences. With a length of 1.2 to 1.5 centimeters and a diameter of 0.6 to 0.9 centimeters, the inverted-conical to bell-shaped involucre contains two or three rows of bracts . The outer bracts are densely covered with dark and stiff hairs on the underside, while the inner, linear bracts are about 0.8 inches long and hairless. The flower heads contain several ray florets.

The achenes are cylindrical with a length of about 0.25 centimeters and a diameter of about 0.08 centimeters and have conspicuous ribs. The pappus consists of several brown bristle hairs that are 0.35 to 0.5 centimeters long.
