Hildegard Wall , also Hilde Wall , (born September 24, 1894 in Braunschweig , † 1980 in Paris ) was a German actress of the silent film era .

Hildegard Wall, born in Braunschweig in Lower Saxony , who was also called Hilde Wall for short in the film, appeared in films by Emelka Münchener Lichtspielkunst AG between 1919 and 1922 , where she was directed by Peter , Ottmar and Franz Ostermayr, who was called Franz Osten , worked. These included two film adaptations of novels by the Bavarian home writer Ludwig Ganghofer and one based on a model by the fantastic writer Karl Hans Strobl . Alfred Schirokauer provided the manuscript for two films .

Hildegard Wall was married to the director and author Max Ophüls (originally Oppenheimer) from 1926 until his death on March 26, 1957 , with whom she had the son Marcel; Marcel Ophüls , in turn, became a documentary and feature film director again.

She died as Hildegard Oppenheimer-Wall in Paris, France, at the age of 85 and was buried in Paris in the columbarium of the Père Lachaise cemetery.
