Hildegard King

Hildegard König (born February 17, 1954 in Tuttlingen ) is a German theologian and especially a patrologist .

Life

From 1973 to 1979 she studied German and Catholic theology in Tübingen , where she passed the first state examination for teaching at grammar schools in 1979 . In 1981 she passed the second state examination. From 1981 to 1987 she was a research assistant at the Chair of Ancient Church History at the University of Tübingen , where she became a Dr. theol. received his doctorate (with Hermann Josef Vogt ). From 1991 to 1992 she represented the Chair of Church History at the University of Lucerne . She stayed in Rome from 1992 to 1993 for a study visit at the Istituto Patristico Augustinianum . From 1993 to 1996 she was teaching at the universities of Frankfurt and Tübingen. From 1997 to 2003 she taught as a university lecturer in historical theology at RWTH Aachen University . She completed the TCI training from 2000 to 2003. In 2007 she completed her habilitation under Georg Schöllgen and the second reviewer Gisela Muschiol . She founded the company Kurs König - Education, Consulting, Support in 2007. In the summer semester of 2009 she was visiting professor at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . In the winter semester 2009/2010 she had a teaching position at the University of Siegen . Since winter semester 2010/2011 she has been teaching as an adjunct professor for church history at the TU Dresden .

Her work focuses on patristics, ancient church history and early Christian art. Her main research interests are historical gender research , gender research and contemporary church history and interfaces between church and art history.
