Hildegard Kerner

Hildegard Kerner (born December 30, 1921 in Kindsbach ; † October 1, 1987 in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

A visit to the elementary school in Kindsbach and Kaiserslautern followed the vocational school and an apprenticeship as a butcher's shop assistant and an apprenticeship. In 1938 she passed the business assistant examination.

From 1939 to 1940 she was employed in a private business school in Kaiserslautern. During the Second World War she worked as a secretary in a hospital in Krakow . After the war she was a secretary in the SPD sub-district of Kaiserslautern and a district cashier in Neustadt an der Weinstrasse. She worked as a saleswoman and an accountant in a wine-growing business.

Political party

Jenssen had been a member of the SPD since 1946. She was a member of the SPD district executive board of the Palatinate, member of the board of the SPD local association Neustadt an der Weinstrasse and a member of the district women's committee and the SPD district executive board of the Palatinate.

MPs

Kerner was a member of the Rhineland-Palatinate state parliament from January 18, 1971 to May 17, 1983. In the 7th and 8th electoral terms she was a member of the Committee on Agriculture (title in the 8th electoral period: Committee on Agriculture, Viticulture and Environment). In the 9th electoral term she was from November 12, 1981 chairman of the Committee on Agriculture, Viticulture and Environment.

From 1956 to 1977 she was a member and from 1969 to 1974 chairman of the SPD parliamentary group in the city council of Neustadt an der Weinstrasse.

In 1979 she was a member of the 7th Federal Assembly .

Other engagement

Kerner was a member of the administrative board of the Rhineland-Palatinate Reconstruction Fund, the Landsiedlung commission and an honorary administrative judge at the Neustadt Administrative Court .
