Hiltershof is a hamlet in the Mähring market in Stiftland in the Bavarian district of Tirschenreuth near the border with the Czech Republic .

geography

Hiltershof is about 577  m above sea level. NHN on the right slope of the upper, little deepened valley of the Wondreb, which still runs to the west-south-west, between the village of Poppenreuth near Tirschenreuth and the church village of Großkonreuth. Opposite the Griesbach flows into the Wondreb. State road 2157 connects the two neighboring towns, which also belong to the market town, through the small town.

There is a small chapel in the center of the village. Ecclesiastically, the place belongs to the parish Großkonreuth, before 1806 it belonged to the parish Wondreb .

history

"Hiltholzhowe" was mentioned around 1225 in connection with tithes redeeming the Waldsassen monastery as a presumably older Waldsassian grangie . Hiltersthof was a place in the municipality of Poppenreuth near Tirschenreuth , which was renamed the municipality of Großkonreuth in 1952 and became part of Mähring in 1978 through the regional reform in Bavaria .
