Wondreb (Bavarian: Woundara) is a district of the district town of Tirschenreuth in the Upper Palatinate in the Tirschenreuth district . The parish village with around 400 inhabitants is one of the oldest settlement areas in the Stiftland .

location

The place Wondreb is located on the river Wondreb of the same name , a tributary of the Eger not far from the border with the Czech Republic. Wondreb is located in Stiftland in the Upper Palatinate Forest and is around six kilometers away from Tirschenreuth.

history

In 1259 the Staufer Konradin donated the places Wondreb, Beidl and Gründelbach ("Wundreb, Pietelein et grintilbach") with all their accessories to the Waldsassen monastery ; They were therefore royal property that belonged to the regio egere .

On January 1, 1971, the previously independent municipality of Pilmersreuth am Wald and parts of the dissolved municipality of Rosall were incorporated. On May 1, 1978 Wondreb was incorporated into the district town of Tirschenreuth.
