history

Kleinkonreuth was first mentioned in 1184 under the name "Chunriut". In 1273 it was called "Cunrewt" and in 1302 "Conreuth". The name probably goes back to an owner named Kuno.

The hamlet belonged to the municipality of Matzersreuth , which was incorporated into the district town of Tirschenreuth as part of the regional reform in Bavaria on May 1, 1978.
