Pilmersreuth am Wald is a district of the district town of Tirschenreuth in the Upper Palatinate in the Tirschenreuth district . The village has its own volunteer fire department .

Pilmersreuth am Wald is about ten kilometers from Tirschenreuth in the historic Stiftland region . The village is located in the north of the Upper Palatinate Forest and is around 13 kilometers from the Bavarian-Czech border. The village of Großkonreuth is located south of Pilmersreuth, and the parish village of Wondreb is to the west .
history
The name Pilmersreuth first appeared in 1252 as Pilgrimsreut. The origin of the place name probably goes back to the clearing of a man named Pilgrim.
On January 1, 1971, Pilmersreuth am Wald was incorporated into the municipality of Wondreb. With this, the place came to Tirschenreuth on May 1, 1978.
Attractions
- St. Maria field chapel, built around 1870; is now a listed building.
