The Siefen is an orographically right tributary of the Saalbach and is 73 meters long according to the Wupperverband and 68 meters according to the Lower Water Authority of the city of Wuppertal. It only carries water at times and arises in a mixed forest of beech and oak . On its run, it passes under the path that runs in the Saalbachtal valley.
