St. Vasilije Ostroški (Šabac)
The Church of St. Basil of Ostrog. ( Serbian : Црква Светог Василија Острошког Чудотворца / Crkva Svetog Vasilije Ostroškog Čudotvorca) is a Serbian Orthodox parish church in the town of Sabac in northwestern Serbia .
Built from 2001 to 2002 church is the parish church of the parish Kasarske Livade in the deanery Sabac the eparchy Sabac the Serbian Orthodox Church. The church is dedicated to St. Vasilije Ostroški the miracle worker .

The church is located in the center of the western suburban settlement of the town of Šabac, Kasarske Livade, on "Ulica Kralja Stefana Prvovenčanog". The parish of Kasarskre Livade consists of a part of the town of Šabac and a part of the suburban settlement Majur .
The town of Šabac on the Sava River is in the Mačva region in north-western central Serbia , on the border with the Serbian autonomous province of Vojvodina .
History and architecture
The Church of St. Vasilije Ostroški was built with the blessing of Bishop Lavrentije (Trifunović) in the Neo-Serbian-Byzantine style from 2001 to 2002. The plan of the church is a Greek cross , with an altar - apse in the east and two steeples in the west. Ktitor the church is in American Detroit living Vojin Višnjevac Visnjic.
A dome rises above the middle of the nave, the two church towers each also have a dome. The three domes represent the Holy Trinity .
Inside the church is painted with Byzantine frescoes. The church has a wooden iconostasis , including icons, which is typical for Orthodox church buildings . The church has a large, fenced churchyard.
Next to the church is the parish house and a miniature sculpture of the Serbian Orthodox Ostrog Monastery in Montenegro is planned . St. Vasilije Ostroški founded the monastery himself in the 17th century . The Ostrog Monastery is a very famous place of pilgrimage not only for Orthodox believers in the Balkans .
The priests of the church and the parish are Ivan Jančić, Branko Simić, Milivoj Pajić, Mladen Šobot and Velimir Dimitrić.
House of goodwill
On the initiative of the Bishop of the Šabac Eparchy, Lavrentije (Trifunović), and the parents' association Parents with Autistic Children , an inpatient facility for people with intellectual disabilities was built near the church in 2008. The facility is called Kuća dobre volje (in English: House of Good Will), which can accommodate around 70 people. It is one of the most modern facilities of its kind in Serbia.
