location
The Hoëgne rises in the Polleur-Venn near Mont Rigi ( Weismes ). The source river here still bears the name Rû de Polleur and after about 5 kilometers takes on the Rû de Herbofaye , which rises in the area of Baraque Michel .
From here the stream bears the name Hoëgne , it flows further along the hamlets of Hockai , Solwaster (where the Statte (stream) joins) and Polleur . Shortly before Theux , the Wayai , which flows through Spa, flows into the Hoëgne. The river flows on through the center of Theux and finally flows into the Weser at Pepinster .
The section along the Hoëgne between Hockai and Solwaster is one of the most popular hiking routes in the region.
