Hochau is a village and a cadastral municipality in the municipality of St. Georgen am Reith in the Amstetten district in Lower Austria .

Settlement development

At the turn of the year 1979/1980 there were a total of 27 building areas with 12859 m² and 20 gardens on 126 066 m² in the cadastral community of Hochau, in 1989/1990 there were also 27 building areas. In 1999/2000 the number of building areas had grown to 31 and in 2009/2010 there were 30 buildings on 33 building areas.

Agriculture

The cadastral community is characterized by agriculture. 162 hectares were used for agriculture at the turn of the year 1979/1980 and 240 hectares were forest areas. In 1999/2000 agriculture was carried out on 171 hectares and 232 hectares were designated as areas used for forestry. At the end of 2018, 168 hectares were used as agricultural land and forestry was carried out on 228 hectares. The average soil climate of Hochau is 29.2 (as of 2010).
