The Hochplatte (also Achenkircher Hochplatte, 1813 m above sea level ) is a summit in the Vorkarwendel , which belongs to the Karwendel mountain range in the Northern Limestone Alps. It is located west of Achenkirch am Achensee.
Approaches
The summit can be reached from Achenkirch in around three and a half hours via the Bründlalm and Jochalm . About half an hour away is the Seewaldhütte ( 1582 m above sea level ) of the Achensee section of the German Alpine Club to the east under the summit . Other ascent options : via the Falkenmoosalm and a path from the west from the Rotwandlhütte ( 1528 m above sea level ) below the Juifen . In winter, the Hochplatte is climbed as part of ski and snowshoe tours.
