The Hohwart (occasionally also Hohwarthöhe or Hohwart-Höhe) is a mountain in the Black Forest with a height of 1113.6 m above sea level. NHN
The Hohwart is located 2.5 km northwest of Breitnau in the district of Breisgau-Hochschwarzwald and 500 meters north of the Breitnau district of Hinterdorf. He has a notch height of about 13m to the saddle of the ski jump and to the Rossberg, about 1km away
Wind turbine on the Hohwartsattel
On May 26, 1992, a wind turbine was built not far from the Hohwart summit. It is considered to be one of the first wind turbines in Baden-Württemberg . It is the model E-32 / E-33 from Enercon with a 3-blade rotor and a grain height of 33.5 m. It was built by Energiedienst Holding from Laufenburg .
Schanze on the Hohwart
There was a fortress on the Hohwart . It was part of the baroque defenses in the Black Forest . It was a square jump in which log houses stood. The ski jump on the Hohwart was not connected to a wall-ditch facility with neighboring ski jumping hills on the Haldenbuck and the Ringelschanze on the Roßberg .
