Holtensen is a district of the Lower Saxony town of Springe .

history

Holtensen was first mentioned around the year 1200. On March 1, 1974, Holtensen was incorporated into the town of Springe. The district of Wülfinghausen with the Wülfinghausen monastery founded in 1236 also belongs to the district of Holtensen .

Despite the relatively small number of inhabitants, Holtensen has a large number of associations. The largest sports club here is the table tennis team, which is represented by four men's, one women's and continuously more than five youth teams in different seasons.

The place is best reached by train via the S5 (Hanover-Hameln). At the Springe stop, the 385 bus (Springe-Alferde) goes via Holtensen. This bus connection usually runs every hour during the day.
