The Holzbach is the approximately 2.0 km long upper course of the Gröbenbach in the western urban area of Munich . It belongs to the Isar river system .

The stream rises on the east side of the Parsberg south of Puchheim near the Germeringer See , where it is dammed into a Kneipp basin . From Puchheim onwards the body of water is known as Gröbenbach .
