Holztraubach is a district of the Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg market in the Straubing-Bogen district in Lower Bavaria . Until 1971 it formed an independent municipality.

The parish village of Holztraubach is located about three kilometers northwest of Mallersdorf near the border with the Upper Palatinate .
history
Holztraubach is first mentioned in a document in the middle of the 12th century. It takes its name from the von Traubach family and formed a court mark in the Pfaffenberg district court. Until the secularization of 1803, the right to fill the pastor's position lay with the Seligenthal monastery . In 1840 the parish village of Holztraubach had 36 houses and 179 inhabitants.
The community Holztraubach belonged to the district court Mallersdorf, district office Mallersdorf and finally to the district Mallersdorf . As part of the regional reform , the municipality of Holztraubach was incorporated into the municipality of Pfaffenberg on April 1, 1971, and with this into the new Mallersdorf-Pfaffenberg market on July 1, 1972. Today Holztraubach has about 200 inhabitants.
