Horacio Ernesto Benites Astoul (born November 3, 1933 in Buenos Aires , Argentina , † May 25, 2016 ) was auxiliary bishop in Buenos Aires .
Life
Emilio Bianchi di Cárcano was ordained a priest for the Archdiocese of Buenos Aires on September 22, 1962 .
Pope John Paul II appointed him auxiliary bishop in Buenos Aires and titular bishop of Lamzella on March 16, 1999 . The Archbishop of Buenos Aires , Jorge Mario Cardinal Bergoglio SJ , donated him episcopal ordination on May 1st of the same year ; Co-consecrators were the auxiliary bishops in Buenos Aires Mario Jose Serra and Guillermo Leaden SDB .
On December 1, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI. his resignation request submitted for reasons of age.
