The Hormecke is a 1.8 km long orographically left tributary of the Bache in the North Rhine-Westphalian Warstein .

geography

The stream rises on the southeast flank of the Steinberg in the Arnsberg Forest at an altitude of 425  m above sea level. NN . The headwaters are about 2.3 km west-southwest of Hirschberg . The Hormecke flows primarily in east-north-east directions and flows into Bache, which belongs to Hirschberg, at 336  m above sea level. NN into the brook , which is called Lottmannhardbach a little later .

The difference in height between the source and the mouth is 89 meters. This results in an average bed slope of 49.4 ‰. The approximately 77.9 hectare catchment area is drained to the North Sea via Bache, Lottmannhardbach, Heve , Möhne , Ruhr and Rhine .
