Horst Brune

Horst Brune (born July 7, 1915 in Plauen ; † September 6, 1971 ) was a German politician ( NDPD ).

Life

Horst Brune was born the son of a graduate engineer and studied after graduating from secondary school in Halle (Saale) and Leipzig . On May 1, 1933, Brune joined the National Socialist German Workers' Party (NSDAP).

After the Second World War he worked as a bookbinder and later as deputy head of the state finance department of Saxony . He became a member of the National Democratic Party of Germany (NDP / later renamed NDPD). After the districts were formed in the GDR in August 1952 , he became deputy chairman of the Cottbus district council . He held this office until 1964. At the same time he was a member of the Cottbus district council . He was also deputy chairman of the NDPD district board and a member of the NDPD main committee. After 1964 he worked as director of the VEB water supply and wastewater treatment Cottbus.

In 1959 he was awarded the GDR Medal of Merit and later the Ernst Moritz Arndt Medal .
