Horst Jonischkan

Horst Jonischkan (born May 19, 1938 in Libau , Latvia , † October 31, 1979 in Rostock ) was a German actor .

life and work

Even during his school days, Jonischkan was involved in various school performances that sparked his passion for the theater. He later became a full-time pioneer director , by the way took private acting lessons with Marie Borchardt and studied until 1961 in Babelsberg at the Academy of Film and Television in Potsdam , which he finished with a diploma.

While still a student, Jonischkan made his debut as an actor at the Deutsches Theater in East Berlin and in a small supporting role as an actor in front of the camera in a DEFA feature film. Some film and television productions for DEFA and television in the GDR followed , such as the anti-fascist feature film Das Lied vom Trompeter , which made him famous.

In addition to his work as a film actor, Jonischkan has made guest appearances at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin as well as in Brandenburg, Görlitz and Stendal. He was in a relationship with the actress Else Wolz until his death .
