Else Wolz

Else Katharia Wolz (born January 14, 1908 in Kleinschwalbach , † July 10, 1983 in Berlin ) was a German actress .

Life

Else Katharia Wolz was born on January 14, 1908 in what is now Schwalbach am Taunus (formerly known as Kleinschwalbach). In the 1930s she married the actor, theater and radio play director Walter Ohm . She lived and worked with him in Munich until at the end of 1954 she moved to Berlin without him to work with Bertolt Brecht at the Berliner Ensemble . In the 1960s she played at the Deutsches Theater Berlin , made several films for DEFA and television, and made several radio plays. Around 1970 Else Wolz switched to the Rostock Volkstheater as a permanent member of the ensemble .

Until his death in 1979, Else Wolz lived with the actor Horst Jonischkan .
