Horst Mager

Horst Gerd Carlos Mager (* 1964 in Berlin ) is a German landscape gardener, biologist, author, editor and director.

Life

After graduating from high school, Horst Mager completed an apprenticeship as a landscape gardener in Nürtingen. He then completed a degree in biology at the Free University of Berlin . After training as a journalist at 1A TV in Berlin and the Henri Nannen School of Journalism in Hamburg, he worked for several years as an author, editor, presenter and expert for various television magazines.

He developed various new formats for gardening programs, for example the SFB gardening magazine "Our Garden" and the gardening magazine "Schön Grün" for the rbb . In cooperation with Volker Kugel , the director of the Blooming Baroque in Ludwigsburg, and Inge Landwehr from the SWR , the SWR garden program " Green stuff " and "Green stuff on the way" was created.

As a juror at various competitions and events on the subject of "Green and Garden", he has been a participant in the Garden Summit since 2007, has been a gardening expert at the garden outdoor.ambiente Stuttgart since 2010 and has been a gardening expert at Inventa Karlsruhe since 2014.

Since 2015 he has been the managing director of Cine Impuls Film- und Video GmbH & Co.KG in Berlin , with branches in Stuttgart and Leipzig . Since 2017, temporary exhibitions by internationally recognized contemporary artists such as Uwe Kowski, Ulf Puder, Cornelius Völker or Ruprecht von Kaufmann have been taking place in the rooms of the Cine Impuls under the label "Cine Treff"!
