Horteflaket is a firn field in Queen Maud Land, East Antarctica . In Fimbulheimen it is at the head of the Muschketow glacier between the Petermann range of the Wohlthat massif and the Weyprecht mountains of the Hoelfjella .
The first aerial photographs were taken during the German Antarctic Expedition in 1938/39 under the direction of Alfred Ritscher . Norwegian cartographers, who also named the firn field, mapped it on the basis of measurements and aerial photographs of the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956–1960).
