Hosam el Miniawy

Hosam el Miniawy (born June 14, 1976 in Weilburg ) is a German management consultant and politician ( FDP ). From 2013 to 2015 he was deputy state chairman of the FDP Baden-Württemberg .

Life

After attending various schools, el Miniawy passed the Abitur exams at the German Evangelical High School in Cairo in 1996. After studying law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen , he studied business administration at the Nürtingen-Geislingen University of Economics and Environment (HfWU) and the Ajou University in Suwon (South Korea) with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree . He then obtained a Master of Science degree in finance from the HfWU Nürtingen and Solothurn University of Applied Sciences ( Switzerland ) in 2005 .

el Miniawy is a self-employed management consultant, married and has two daughters.

politics

In the state elections in Baden-Württemberg in 2011 , el Miniawy ran unsuccessfully for the Baden-Württemberg state parliament, succeeding former parliamentary group leader Ulrich Noll in the constituency 09 Nürtingen .

At the 110th regular state party conference of the FDP Baden-Württemberg on November 2, 2013 in Filderstadt, el Miniawy ran for the state chairmanship and achieved third place behind Michael Theurer and Hans-Ulrich Rülke in the first ballot with 17.59 percent of the delegate's votes . In the election for deputy state chairman, el Miniawy prevailed in the second ballot with 57.11 percent against former Bundestag member Hartfrid Wolff .
