Hougbéry (also Houghbéri , Hougoubéré , Hougou Béri ) is a district of Agadez in Niger .

Hougbéry is one of eleven historic area of the UNESCO World Heritage counting old town of Agadez , in the center of which it lies. The adjoining old town quarters are Founé Imé in the north, Akanfaya in the east, Agar Garin Saka in the southeast, Angoual Bayi in the southwest and Katanga in the west.

The place name means "big house" and refers to an existing building that an immigrant from the north had built after he had bought the property from the Sultan of Agadez . The population is subordinate to the Gonto von Hougbéry, a traditional mayor who acts as a middleman between the Sultan of Agadez and the residents.

For centuries, Hougbéry was the economic center of Agadez. This was due to the Tamalakoye market located here. In 1967 the sub-prefecture of Agadez had a large new market built in the west, between the old town and new housing developments. The old market had become too small and difficult to reach for vehicles. In the alleys around the Tamalakoye market, there is still a lot of trading activity. Other attractions in Hougbéry include the Ati Sarkin Fawa House, the Mahadi House and the Sidi Kâ House.

At the 2012 census, Hougbéry had 1693 inhabitants who lived in 252 households. At the 2001 census, the population was 740 in 119 households, and at the 1988 census, the population was 536 in 56 households.
