Amdit is a district of Agadez in Niger .

Amdit is one of eleven historic area of the UNESCO World Heritage counting old town of Agadez , in the West it is. The adjacent old town quarters are Katanga in the north and Obitara in the south.

Historically, it is the district of the Tuareg group Igdalen. Their relatives dug the Tesko well, one of the oldest in Agadez. The population is subordinate to the Gonto von Amdit, a traditional mayor who acts as a middleman between the Sultan of Agadez and the residents.

The annual Mouloud celebration in honor of the Prophet Mohammed is celebrated in Agadez according to a constant scheme in different locations. The Malam Ousseini mosque and the Koran school in Amdid are the centers of the celebrations on the tenth day of the month of Rabīʿ al-awwal . Another attraction in the district is the Tendé Mosque.

At the 2012 census, Amdit had 685 residents who lived in 113 households. At the 1988 census, the population was 1649 in 276 households.
