Howard Rosenberg

Howard Rosenberg (born June 10, 1942 in Kansas City , Missouri ) is an American film critic and journalist .

Life

Howard Rosenberg studied history at the University of Oklahoma and received his Masters in Political Science from the University of Minnesota . He was a film critic for the Los Angeles Times for 25 years . In 1985 he was awarded a Pulitzer Prize for Criticism for his work . After he called George W. Bush "stiff and boyish" for his behavior after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks , a major controversy arose. He was called "Osama bin Rosenberg" and several people asked the Los Angeles Times to resign without notice. He left in 2003. He has continued teaching at the USC School of Cinematic Arts , which he started in 1991.
