Huaura is a city in the Huaura Province in the Lima region of central western Peru . Huaura is the seat of the district of the same name . The city had 24,668 inhabitants at the 2017 census. Ten years earlier the population was 21,685.
Geographical location
The city of Huaura, 30 m above sea level, is located in the coastal plain on the north bank of the Río Huaura , 3.6 km above its mouth in the Pacific Ocean . South of Huaura is the metropolitan area of Huacho with the cities of Hualmay and Cruz Blanca .
