Hubert Faltermeier

Hubert Faltermeier (born August 14, 1949 in Weltenburg ) is a former district administrator in the Kelheim district . Since the state elections in Bavaria in 2018 , he has sat for the free voters in the Bavarian state parliament .

Life

His father Rudolf Faltermeier was already a politician. Like his son later, he was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament (1962 to 1966) and District Administrator of the Kelheim district (1967 to 1978).

Hubert Faltermeier attended the elementary school in Kelheim-Hohenpfahl from 1955 to 1959 and then, until 1968, the Donau-Gymnasium Kelheim , where he passed the Abitur. Studying law and business administration at the University of Munich (1968–1972) was followed by internship and doctorate (1972–1975).

Stations of his work as a legal civil servant were the Bavarian State Ministry of the Interior (1975–1979), the Landratsamt Erding (1979–1987) and the Bavarian State Ministry for Education and Culture, Science and Art (1987–1992).

After the successful election, he took up the post of district administrator of the Kelheim district on November 1, 1992 and was re-elected in 1998, 2004 and 2010. For reasons of age, Faltermeier did not run again in 2016.

Since 1996 Faltermeier was the chairman of the specialist committee for law and education and deputy chairman of the district association of Lower Bavaria in the Bavarian district assembly.

From 2008 to 2013 he was a member of the District Assembly of Lower Bavaria for one term ; he did not apply for re-election.

In the Bavarian State Parliament , Faltermeier is a member of the Committee on Constitution, Law, Parliamentary Issues and Integration and a member of the Committee on Science and Art.
