Hubert Sittart (born August 20, 1860 in Floßdorf ; † September 12, 1942 in Krefeld ) was a teacher and member of the German Reichstag .

Life

Sittart attended the cathedral school in Aachen , the Collège Marie-Thérèse in Herve (Belgium), the royal teachers' seminar in Kornelimünster and the royal gymnastics teacher training institute in Berlin . From 1880 he was a primary school teacher, from 1883 in Aachen and from 1888 to 1896 teacher at the drawing and arts and crafts school in Aachen . In 1880 he served in the Hohenzollern Fusilier Regiment No. 40.

From 1899 to 1908 he was a member of the Prussian House of Representatives and from February 8, 1901 to 1918 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the constituency Aachen 3 ( Aachen-Stadt ) and the German Center Party . There he was rapporteur for the law on industrial child labor and the insurance law for employees.
