Floßdorf is a district of Linnich in the Düren district , North Rhine-Westphalia .

location

Floßdorf is located in the Jülich Börde south of Linnich an der Rur . To the west of Floßdorf are the villages of Welz and Ederen , to the north of Rurdorf , to the east of the Rur Tetz , and to the south of Barmen and Merzenhausen .

history

On the occasion of the municipal reorganization , Floßdorf , which had previously been part of the Jülich district , was incorporated into the city of Linnich on January 1, 1972.

The parish church is dedicated to St. Hermann Josef and was built in 1953/54.

traffic

The Bürgerbus Linnich eV has existed since July 1, 1997. It connects the localities belonging to the urban area with the city center. BVR line 279 also runs through the town. Every Friday evening a disco bus drives to the nearest disco in Himmerich .
