The village of Glimbach is an eastern part of the city of Linnich in the Düren district .
geography
Glimbach lies on the slope of the Jülich Börde and towers over the Rurniederung . Surrounding villages are in clockwise direction Körrenzig , Kofferen , Gevenich and Linnich.
history
On July 1, 1969, Glimbach was incorporated into Linnich.
Buildings
- The parish church of St. Agatha towers over the village, visible from afar. It was destroyed in the Second World War in 1944 and only rebuilt in 1953.
