Hugh Allan (clergyman)
Hugh David Renwick Turnbull Allan OPraem (born August 3, 1976 in Hatfield , Hertfordshire , England ) is a Roman Catholic religious priest and since 2016 Apostolic Superior of the Mission sui juris St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha and Apostolic Administrator of the Apostolic Prefecture of the Falkland Islands or Malwinen .
Life
Hugh Allan converted to the Roman Catholic Church in 1993 and joined the Premonstratensian Order . He put on 27 October 2001, the profession , and received on 22 November 2002 by the Bishop of Salford , Terence John Brain , the sacrament of Holy Orders .
On August 26, 2016, he was appointed as successor to Michael Bernard McPartland's SMA Superior of the Mission sui juris St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha and Apostolic Administrator of the Apostolic Prefecture of the Falkland Islands or Malwinen . The inauguration took place on December 8th of the same year.
