Hugo Klein (born May 19, 1953 in Neuenhaßlau ) is a Hessian politician ( CDU ) and former member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

After an apprenticeship as a machine fitter (1969 to 1972) Hugo Klein studied mechanical engineering in Frankfurt am Main from 1972 to 1975 . He completed his studies with the state examination as a qualified engineer , before studying professional education , politics, economics and history at the Technical University of Darmstadt from 1976 to 1978 .

Klein then worked as a vocational school teacher. Most recently, he worked as senior student adviser and coordinator of the basic level classes in metal technology and head of a special measure in the area of ​​special educational programs.

politics

Hugo Klein was already politically active as a teenager and a founding member of the Junge Union Neuenhaßlau. In 1978 he joined the CDU, was there since 1981 board member and since 1987 chairman of the CDU Freigericht .

In 1986 he also joined the Christian Democratic Workforce (CDA).

Hugo Klein has been a community representative in Freigericht since 1981, where he was deputy chairman of the community council. From 1985 to 1993 he was a member of the district council in the Main-Kinzig district until he became an honorary district member in the Main-Kinzig district from 1993.

Hugo Klein became a directly elected member of the Hessian state parliament ( constituency Main-Kinzig I ) on April 5, 2003. There he was a member of the committee for science and art, cultural policy committee, legal committee, subcommittee of the penal system and the Hessian state monument council. In the state elections in Hesse in 2018 , he no longer ran.
