Hugo moons (* 13. September 1936 in Antwerp , Belgium ) is a Belgian pianist of the present .

Life and artistic training

Born in Antwerp, Hugo Monden studied there at the Royal Flemish Academy of Music ( Artesis Hogeschool Antwerp ). He finished his studies with the distinction of Lauréat in the piano class of Professor Lode Rosquin. Hugo Monden completed a five-year private course with the Spanish concert pianist Eduardo del Pueyo in Brussels . He also studied harpsichord in Paris with Robert Veyron-Lacroix . The pianist finished his training with a three-year study with Professor Winfried Wolf at the Salzburg Mozarteum . In 1967 he was a laureate of the International Summer Academy Mozarteum Salzburg .

Hugo Monden has given numerous piano recitals across Europe, including at the Berlin Philharmonic , the Vienna Musikverein , the Salzburg Mozarteum , the Barbican Center , London and the Palais des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles . His concerts were broadcast by various radio companies. His repertoire mainly includes French and Spanish piano music from the 19th and 20th centuries, in particular the complete works of Claude Debussy , Enrique Granados y Campiña , Manuel de Falla and Isaac Albéniz .

The artist, who used to live in Antwerp, later lived in Trier for several years . His current residence is Koblenz .

Recordings

On February 1, 1999, his audio CD Goyescas was released , on which he recorded pieces by Enrique Granados y Campiña .
