Hugo Neugebauer

Hugo Neugebauer (born December 19, 1949 in Großeibstadt , district of Rhön-Grabfeld ) is a master butcher , honorary president of the Chamber of Crafts for Lower Franconia and holder of the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany .

Life

As the son of a farmer, Hugo Neugebauer began an apprenticeship as a butcher at the age of 14. He passed his master craftsman examination on February 18, 1975 in Augsburg . Since 1984 he has been running a butcher's shop in his hometown Großeibstadt with a branch in Wülfershausen . Hugo Neugebauer has been married since 1971 and has two sons.

Voluntary and local political commitment

Neugebauer has been active as a voluntary mandate holder in the Lower Franconian handicraft for over two decades. From 1991 to 2006 he was head master of the butcher's guild Rhön-Grabfeld . From 1993 to 2006 he also held the office of master craftsman . Since 2003 he has been a board member of the Fleischerring Schweinfurt . In 1999 Neugebauer first became a deputy member and then a full member of the General Assembly as well as a member of the board of the Chamber of Crafts for Lower Franconia . In 2006 he was elected President by the General Assembly of the Chamber. He was re-elected on December 1, 2011. Until December 2016, he held this office. Since January 2017 he has been honorary president of the Chamber of Crafts for Lower Franconia.

Since 2008, Neugebauer has also supported the work of the Center for Teacher Training and Educational Research at the Bad Neustadt an der Saale vocational school as a member of the Advisory Board .

From 1977 to 2000, Neugebauer was also a member of the Großeibstadt church administration and from 1988 to 1990 he was the church caretaker of the Großeibstadt Catholic Church Foundation. He has been a member of the Großeibstadt municipal council since 1978 and served as the second mayor from 1990 to 1996. Since 1990 he has also been a member of the joint assembly of the administrative community in Saal an der Saale . He is a member of various associations in his home community.

Together with the presidents of the Chamber of Crafts for Upper Franconia and Middle Franconia, Neugebauer is one of the inventors of the Franconian Bratwurst Summit ( Memento from June 7, 2013 in the Internet Archive ).

Awards

  • In 1999 he was awarded the municipal certificate of thanks for his local political and social commitment .
  • For his high level of voluntary work, the Presidium of the Central Association of German Crafts (ZDH) awarded him the gold craft mark in 2011, the highest distinction that German craft can give.
  • For his exemplary service to the general welfare, he was awarded the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany on March 22, 2013 in Würzburg.
  • On July 13th, 2016 he was awarded the Bavarian Order of Merit by Prime Minister Horst Seehofer .
