Hugo Glanz from Eicha

Hugo Moritz Joseph Freiherr Glanz von Eicha (born December 19, 1848 in Sibiu , Transylvania , † June 9, 1915 in Vienna ) was an Austrian politician .

biography

The son of a civil servant, Glanz von Eicha, first became an officer, then studied law and entered the civil service. From 1875 to 1878 he was involved in the trade agreements with Italy. It was in 1891 titular head of section in the Austro-Hungarian Ministry of the Imperial and Royal House and for Foreign Affairs, and was from 1895 to 1897, Emperor I Franz Joseph appointed kk Trade Minister in Cisleithanian Ministry Badeni .

According to the Austrian Biographical Lexicon published by the Institute for Modern and Contemporary History Research, he appeared against the Badeni language ordinance issued in 1897 from 1815 to 1950 , but was one of the five ministers who signed it.

After the resignation of the Badeni Ministry on November 28, 1897, which led to the removal of all ministers from this government by Franz Joseph I on November 30 , he became President of the Anglo-Bank . In 1907 he was appointed a member of the manor in the Austrian Imperial Council by the Emperor .
