Hundred Year Hall is a live - double album of the band Grateful Dead .
history
The songs on the album were recorded on April 26, 1972 in the Jahrhunderthalle in Frankfurt am Main during the European tour, for which the album Europe '72 was also released, and released on September 26, 1995.
Just as the tour was the last with Ron McKernan before his death, this was the first album released after the death of band leader Jerry Garcias .
Mickey Hart had left the band a year earlier, so only one drummer took part in the tour. So there were no drum solos that were standard at every live show. Since Keith and Donna Godchaux were new to the band to relieve McKernan's health problems, the usual improvisations in the second set of the concert were largely only performed by Jerry Garcia , Phil Lesh and Bob Weir .
One of the songs was wrongly named on the original tracklist. The second song on the second CD was named Cryptical Envelopment , which is usually a part of That's It For The Other One . In reality it's a part of The Other One .
