The Hvozdnice (German Hoßnitz , formerly Hasnitz ) is a left tributary of the Moravice in the Czech Republic.

The Hvozdnice rises three kilometers southwest of Horní Benešov in the Lower Jeseníky on the western slope of the Křib (644 m). The stream initially flows south, but turns east at Leskovec nad Moravicí . Along the Hvozdnice are the villages of Bohdanovice , Jakartovice , Hlavnický Mlýn, Mladecko , Luhy, Pilný Mlýn, Dolní Životice , Štáblovický Mlýn, Slavkov , Trní and Otice . East of Otice, the Hvozdnice is bridged by the Opava východ – Hradec nad Moravicí railway and the I / 57 state road between Opava and Hradec nad Moravicí . After 36.2 kilometers the brook flows into the Moravice between Branka u Opavy and Kylešovice on the outskirts of Opava .

Between Jakartovice and Otice, the Opava východ – Horní Benešov railway follows the course of the Hvozdnice.

The section between Štáblovický Mlýn and Slavkov with the ponds Jankův rybník, Vrbovec and Hvozdnice is protected as a nature reserve Hvozdnice on an area of ​​56.24 hectares . Half a kilometer below it is the Otická sopka nature reserve on the western outskirts of Otice . In 1988 the Hvozdnice nature trail was laid out in this area.
