Hyapatia Lee (* 11. November 1960 in Indianapolis , Indiana , as Victoria Lynch ) is an American actress , singer , dancer and porn actress in the 1980s and 1990s.

Career

Lee is of American Indian and Irish descent. She performed regularly at the Black Curtain Dinner Theater in Indianapolis. In 1982 Lee changed her first name to Hyapatia to emphasize her Cherokee ancestry . She worked as an exotic dancer in the Red Garter Lounge. In 1983 she went to Hollywood to become a film actress, but soon started working as a porn actress. She made her film debut in 1983 with the film The Young like it Hot . In October 1991 she made a guest appearance on The Howard Stern Show .

She is best known for her portrayal of the masseuse in the 1990 porn drama The Masseuse opposite Randy Spears . For this role she was awarded the AVN Award for "Best Actress" in 1991 . The film was in 2004 on the old story based Jenna Jameson in the lead role of Paul Thomas remade .

During her active time, she starred in around 50 films. Lee was married to director Bud Lee and has two children with him. In 1997 she married again.

In 1993, Hyapatia Lee was inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame . In 1995 she received the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the "Free Speech Coalition". In 1998 she faked her own death for reasons unknown. Today Lee works as a singer in the rock band "Double Euphoric". Today Lee appears again as an actress in non-pornographic plays under her real name. She is a member of the Coachlight Musical Theater in Nashville , Indiana .

In 2000, her book The Secret Lives of Hyapatia Lee was published. The book is partly autobiographical and describes her impressions of the porn industry. Carnal Comics publisher dedicated a comic book entitled Hyapatia Lee # 1 to her biography .
