IAFEI World Congress

The IAFEI World Congress is an annual world congress hosted by or on behalf of the International Association of Financial Executives Institutes (IAFEI) . The two to four day long congress, which includes a gala dinner, is organized by a national member association of the IAFEI. The event, which is aimed at the heads of finance in companies from all over the world, is usually coupled with the annual congress of the co-organizing national association. The congress will be held in English.

history

The first international convention for financial directors was held in May 1969 in Marbella , Spain. It was organized by the recently founded Spanish CFO Association, the Asociación Española de Ejecutivos de Finanzas (AEEF) . Since then, the IAFEI World Congress has been held annually in 21 different countries. Only in 1975 and 2009 did it not take place.

The 43rd IAFEI World Congress was held in conjunction with the 6th CFO Summit Emerging Markets & CIS from October 14-17, 2013 in Warsaw , Poland. The organizers were the Polish association of financial directors FINEXA - Stowarzyszenie Dyrektorów Finansowych and CFO Insight (a media and event brand of Frankfurt Business Media , a subsidiary of the FAZ Group ). The 44th IAFEI World Congress will be held for the fourth time in Manila, Philippines from October 15-17 , 2014 by the Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) .
