ICC World Cricket League Championship 2015–17
The ICC World Cricket League Championship 2015–17 was the second edition of the one-day cricket competition for associate members of the International Cricket Council . The tournament was the highest tier of the ICC World Cricket League 2012-18 and was played from May 2015 to December 2017 between eight teams. The four best teams qualified for the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2018 . The winners were the Netherlands, which also qualified for the ICC ODI Championship . Scotland, Hong Kong and Papua New Guinea also qualified for the qualifying tournament.

Originally, the eight best associate members of the ICC, who will also compete in the ICC Intercontinental Cup 2015-2017 , were planned for the tournament . However, shortly before the start, it was decided that Afghanistan and Ireland could qualify directly for the World Championship qualification in addition to the ten test nations as part of the ICC ODI Championship . Thus, the first four of the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifier 2014 qualified for the tournament :

These teams also have ODI status, so matches between these teams are given ODI status while clashes with the other teams have List A status. Furthermore, the first four of the ICC World Cricket League Division Two 2015 qualified :

Each team plays two games against each other. For every win there are two points, for a tie or no result one. The top four qualify for the World Cup qualification, while the bottom four teams qualify for the ICC World Cricket League Division Two 2018 , where two more qualifiers for the tournament will be played.
