I missed again

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

I Missed Again is a 1981 rock song by Phil Collins that appeared on the Face Value album.

The song, like several other songs from the Face Value album, is about the anger and frustration over his first wife who had previously left him. The first demo recording of the song was titled I Miss You, Babe , and the lyrics had a gloomy mood. To make it seem funny instead, Collins rewrote the lyrics, played the piece at a different pace, and changed the title to I Missed Again .

In the USA the song reached number 19 on the Billboard charts in May 1981 and number 20 on the singles chart in Great Britain . In Germany it reached number 23 in the single charts .

In the accompanying music video , Collins sings the song against a white background and imitates musical instruments .
